To Become a RESUS4KIDS Instructor
RESUS4KIDS instructors are healthcare professionals that care for acutely unwell children. Instructors either have an education portfolio as part of their job description or are recommended by their line manager as an appropriate instructor. To be recommended by a line manager an instructor recommendation form must be signed by both the line manager and instructor stating that the person has the ability to facilitate small group teaching.
To become a RESUS4KIDS instructor, participants must have completed the RESUS4KIDS e-Learning module and participated in the short practical course . The participants may then a attend a 4.5 hour resus4kids Train the Trainer workshop facilitated by the Resus4kids Super Trainer which covers the specific learning objectives of education theory, Crisis Resource Management, managing challenging participants and access to available instructor resources.
Instructors are supported by their local Resus4kids educator, paediatric clinical nurse consultant or the Resus4kids Coordinator.
